Andy was always thoughtful, creative, and positive when it came to conveying his design and our needs to the contractor. He was meticulous which resulted in perfect matching of 90 year old brick to new; he managed to make what were silly changes (elongating a hall to accommodate an extra long runner) meld with the original design, and he especially made our backyard usable in making it more accessible and appreciable using a layered patio approach. His thorough and professional demeanor helped ensure a successful outcome for a challenging project. -Kathy and Rick

Andy designed three beautiful, light filled new spaces--kitchen, foyer and porch, created a gorgeous dining area and widened doorways and created wheelchair access to the front and side entrances using subtle grading. He transformed our cramped 1960s rambler into a spacious, open and light-filled home. In addition to having a fine sense of design, he knows a lot about construction, so he was helpful throughout the process. -Ed and Nina

Andy immediately “got it” --knew what we had in mind, even though a challenging older home to work with. He showed us other houses he had worked on. While they were very different, he can very likely meet any client’s design taste. He turned our sweet older, dark home into a light-filled, International design aka handicap access Le beautiful space. We have retrofitted and built several times, and see that he is very creative architect--met us “where we were,” design and cost. Yet, he did not have to put his stamp on our home, it feels even more like ours. Very easy and kind to work with, it was a partnership, with Andy at the helm of course. Everyone who sees our space loves it, warm, easy and practical. So many designers etc. are ego driven, he seems to come from a quiet, creative inner self. I love our home so much. -Sydna
